Department of Medical Oncology
Dr Eng-Huat Tan, Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology and Deputy Director of the Division of Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences did his fellowship in head and neck, and thoracic oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Clinic and heads the head and neck/thoracic oncology research programme in the department.
Dr Miriam Tao, Senior Consultant did her fellowship at the Stanford University, United States and currently heads the lymphoma and bone marrow transplant programme in the department.
Dr Lay-Tin Soh, Senior Consultant, was trained at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre, United States and currently heads the gynecological and genitourinary oncology program in the Department.
Dr Wen-Hsin Koo, Senior Consultant, and Medical Director of Dover Park Hospice did his fellowship in gastrointestinal oncology at the Mayo Clinic and heads the GI oncology research program in the department.
Dr Han-Chong Toh, Senior Consultant & Deputy Head in the Department of Medical Oncology, was trained in bone marrow transplant at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Centre and laboratory research at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, United States, currently runs the National Cancer Centre's Cell Therapy Program and Cryopreservation Laboratory.
Dr Simon Ong, Sernior Consultant, received his training in clinical pharmacology at the University of Sydney and directs the phase I and clinical pharmacology program in the department.
Dr Zee-Wan Wong, Senior Consultant, completed her breast oncology fellowship at Duke University Medical Centre and was subsequently a research fellow at the Washington University in St Louis till 2003. She is currently actively involved in serveral multi-centre trials and also investigator-initiated studies in breast cancer.
Dr Darren Lim, Consultant, did his fellowship in thoracic oncology and pharmacogenomics in Washington University in St Louis, USA and is actively involved in early phase clinical studies.
Dr Nan-Soon Wong, Consultant, completed his fellowship in Breast Oncology at Sunnybrook and Women's Health Science Centre, University of Toronto in 2005. His research and clinical interests include neoadjuvant and noval therapeutics in breast cancer.
Dr Su-Pin Choo, Consultant, did her medical degree at University of Nottingham, UK and fellowship at UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Centre and has special interest in hepatocellular carcinoma and gastrointestinal cancers.
Department of Therapeutic Radiology
Dr Eu-Tiong Chua, Senior Consultant, received his training at the Middlesex Hospital, United Kingdom and his main focus is on breast oncology.
Dr Joseph Wee, Director of the Division of Clinical Trials and Epidemiological Sciences, is also a Senior Consultant in the Department of Therapeutic Radiology. He was trained at the Middlesex Hospital, United Kingdom and his area of interest includes head and neck, thoracic and upper GI oncology.
Dr Kam-Weng Fong, Senior Consultant, was trained at Royal Marsden Hospital, United Kingdom and his areas of interests include cancer informatics, head and neck and thoracic oncology.
Dr Terence Tan, Consultant, was trained at the Mount Vernon Hospital, United Kingdom and his main areas of interest include head and neck and genitourinary oncology.
Dr Susan Loong, Consultant, received her clinical training at the Royal Marsden Hospital and her basic research training in Edinburg. Her areas of interest include lymphoma and breast oncology and basic research.
PHARMACOLOGY

A/Prof Balram Chowbay is a pharmacist by training and is now a research fellow with the clinical pharmacology laboratory. He is currently pursuing his PhD. His interest is in Pharmacokinetics/ Pharmacodynamics of anti-cancer agents as well as Pharmacogenetics of drug metabolising enzymes and drug transporters.
